About
Born in Borneo and raised across the world - from Hong Kong to London to Los Angeles - Tirion is a photographer, yoga teacher and keen geographer now living and working around the Northern Rivers, NSW. Her photography explores blue spaces and surf cultures around the globe. She has been commissioned to create photography content for international brands such as Red Equipment, Wallien, Nokia and Stoned Immaculate and has been published by magazines such as Pacific Longboarder and C-Heads. Her work has also been featured as album cover artwork (Radicalis 2015) and exhibited in spaces such as Main in Santa Monica (Creative Reverb 2015), West Wharf Gallery Cardiff (2019), Plug Coffee Roasters (2019) and Overseas Apparel (2019).
Tirion studied Geography at UCL from 2012 to 2016 with a year at UCLA. Following a Masters in Social Sciences, she is currently pursuing a PhD at Cardiff University School of Geography and Planning. Her research explores womenโs surfing as an act of restoration, reclamation and resistance in South Wales. She is based in the Byron Bay area and is open to bookings and collaborations locally and beyond.
